Eat, Write, Retreat was developed by Robyn Webb and Casey Benedict as a way to strengthen connections in the food blogging community through a shared exploration of cooking, writing and photography. Robyn and Casey have worked tirelessly to create an intensive, hands-on learning weekend, full of opportunity, friendship and fun at a great value.

Robyn Webb is an award winning cookbook author, culinary nutritionist, Health and Wellness Editor at The Daily Basics and the long time Food Editor of Diabetes Forecast Magazine. She is the author of 16 cookbooks including the World Gourmand Winner, Best in US Health and Fitness, The Diabetes Comfort Food Cookbook; The Benjamin Franklin Silver Award Honoree, The Smart Shopper Diabetes Cookbook, and the all-time best-seller, Diabetic Meals in 30 Minutes or Less.

Robyn has been profiled by most every major media outlet to include CNN, Lifetime TV, Daytime TV, Fox News, ESPN, The Washington Post, Washingtonian Magazine, Martha Stewart Radio, and much more. She has written for and been profiled in Shape, Cooking Light, Eating Well, Women’s Day Magazine, Cosmopolitan and more. She has been a spokesperson and recipe developer for numerous companies and associations including Nestle, Kellogg’s, California Avocado Commission, Luzianne Tea, Global Stevia Institute, American Institute for Cancer Research and so many more.
In addition to her long career in the food industry, Robyn is also an award winning travel writer. Having crisscrossed the globe to visit over 70 countries, Robyn’s expertise is the city of Paris. Her book, The Paris Vacation Apartment Guide, captured the Benjamin Franklin Silver Honoree Award for Best in Digital Travel Writing. She is also a blogger for Paris Perfect and Bonjour Paris. She is a member of the International Association of Food Wine And Travel Writers.

Casey Benedict, President and CEO of Kitchen Witch LLC, is an authority in influencer outreach and activation, as well as social media strategy for the food and beverage, home and housewares, and CPG industries. She has nearly 10 years of marketing experience ranging from launching her own artisanal baking business to working closely with global brands on social media strategy and influencer outreach integration.

Casey is the social media and food marketing innovator behind Kitchen PLAY, where she collaborates with brands, agricultural commodities and small businesses to develop successful content marketing programs within the food blogger community. Casey has worked with an extensive client list, including brands such as Whole Foods Market, Land O’Lakes, McCormick, Jarlsberg USA, Nestle, Calphalon, OXO, KitchenAid, Gerolsteiner, Cutco and many more. Her affiliations within the world of agriculture include Sun-Maid, Driscoll’s, US Potato Board, California Avocado Commission, National Onion Association, National Watermelon Promotion Board, Dandy Fresh, Opal Apples, California Endive, Avocados from Mexico, The Mushroom Council and many others.

She earned her MFA and BA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and the University of Michigan, respectively.
