Juliemar Rosado is the Marketing & Communications Associate for the National Watermelon Promotion Board based in Orlando, FL. When she is not assisting an association with a festival or attending a retailer promotion with one of the watermelon queens, Juliemar is present at conventions, tradeshows, and conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada educating consumers, health professionals, retailers, and others about the attributes of what she believes is America’s favorite fruit – watermelon. Prior to becoming part of the watermelon team, Juliemar worked in the EPCOT Entertainment department of Walt Disney World as “one of Mickey’s friends.” Her experience in this area breathed life into J. Slice, watermelon’s own healthy hero, who’s attended schools, festivals, music videos and in-store promotions. When asked what the favorite part of her job is she replies, “I love the fact that I get to promote a product that I genuinely love and believe in. It doesn’t get any better than that!” In her free time, Juliemar enjoys trying a watermelon recipe once a week, spending time with her two dogs, and working on her YouTube channel, “Jmar Chronicles.”
